Wayne Rippl lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife Jan. They are blessed that their three children and seven grandchildren all live in the Madison area.
He is now retired, but after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, was employed by the City of Madison for nearly forty years as an Engineering Program Specialist. Wayne grew up in Menasha, Wisconsin and learned to play guitar with Mark Bradish, eventually forming a high school folk singing group called The Towne Kryers.
After graduation from St. Mary High School in 1964, he sang with Tanya (Przybylski) with another group called The New Towne Kryers. A fortieth class reunion lead to the formation of 50% Folk in 2004, and he has been playing six-string guitar and adding vocals with the group ever since.
